Short description about Acanthoscurria geniculata:
Acanthoscurria geniculata belongs to the kinds of tarantulas that kick their hair. Even with a slight disturbance it can fight back with its stinging hairs. It hurls them with its legs towards the intruder. A terrarium size of 60x40x30 cm is appropriate for adult animals. The substrate height should be 15 cm and consist of forest humus. A water bowl should not be missing in the terrarium. Furthermore hiding places like a cork bark and plants should be integrated into the terrarium.
