Merulanella spec. “Lava”

 

Merulanella spec. “Lava” is not only impressive in size. The bright red of this species immediately catches the eye. Most of the red spots are on the flanks. However, the colouration of this species varies and sometimes there are animals in the group that have a much larger proportion of red. Future selection is recommended for this species. An increased humidity of 80 % has proven to be useful for this species.

 

For keeping we recommend limestone and a higher proportion of moss in the substrate. Otherwise the keeping conditions are the same as for other Cubaris or Merulanella species.
