Short description:
The basic color of Aphonopelma seemanni ranges from brown to dark gray to blue and black. The leg joints have white stripes and on the upper sides of the legs two white stripes can be seen. It is a strongly built tarantula and belongs to the ground dwellers and likes to build tubes into the substrate.
The humidity should not be too high. 60-70% is completely sufficient for her. Water from a drinking bowl is gladly accepted and should always be offered. Aphonopelma seemanni behaves defensively and retreats when the water is changed rather than going on the attack.
