These animals particularly like avocado leaves because they soften more quickly than oak or beech leaves and are therefore easier to digest.

The leaves come from healthy avocado trees and are gently air-dried. This drying process preserves the ingredients and ensures that the leaves have a long shelf life. Avocado leaves contain natural secondary plant substances that can support the immune system of many detritus eaters. Isopods often eat them more intensively than other types of leaves, and millipedes like to use the soft leaf areas for decomposition. This creates a continuous food supply in the terrarium, which keeps your soil police active.

You can simply place the leaves on the substrate or work them in lightly. Due to their size, they can be combined wonderfully, for example with oak leaves or sea almond tree leaves. Many keepers mix different types of leaves so that their animals receive a broader range of nutrients. If you add avocado leaves regularly, the food base will remain stable and your terrarium will develop into an active, healthy mini-ecosystem.
