Collection package – Safe return shipment for invertebrates

Sometimes a small group quickly turns into a whole colony – and suddenly there are just too many of them. The Insektenliebe rescue package is just for moments like these. With this shipping kit, you can send your animals safely, stress-free and anonymously to our rescue center without having to worry about packaging or suitable materials. Everything you need is already included – carefully put together to make transportation as pleasant and low-risk as possible for the animals.

The containment package is the simplest and safest solution if you want to send animals to us. It consists of a sturdy shipping box with precisely fitting polystyrene panels that provide reliable insulation and compensate for temperature fluctuations. This is particularly important in the winter months to prevent sensitive species from cooling down. For additional safety, a high-quality heat pack is included, which generates constant heat over many hours and thus enables quiet, animal-friendly transportation.

You also get matching transparent boxes in which you can place the animals individually or in small groups. The boxes are air-permeable and easy to handle – simply place a damp paper towel and some food inside, carefully insert the animals, close the lid and you’re done. This keeps transportation safe and stress-free for everyone involved. Please label the boxes with the species name and the number of animals.

Before you close the package, you can activate the enclosed heat pack in cold weather. It works very simply: as soon as you open the outer packaging and shake the heat pack gently, it starts to react with oxygen and generates a constant, mild heat for many hours. Never place the active heat pack directly next to the cans or animals, but make sure there is some distance between them – preferably by placing a layer of paper or padding material in between. This will keep the temperature comfortable without the animals getting too hot. In milder temperatures, you can also add the heat pack unactivated.

The enclosed return label is already fully prepared and bears our address for the rescue center. Simply stick it on the parcel, hand it in at the post office and rest assured that your animals will arrive safely. You do not need to provide any personal details when returning the parcel – it will be sent anonymously.
