The Hobby ceramic heater is a high-quality, ceramic infrared dark radiator that has been specially developed for use in terrariums. It provides intense, even heat – without any visible light. This makes this dark radiator perfect for keeping diurnal and nocturnal reptiles, amphibians and insects.

Available in the following versions 50 watt, 100 watt and 200 wattsthe output can be optimally adjusted to the size of your terrarium and the heat requirements of your animals. The radiated long-wave infrared rays penetrate deep into the body and substrate and create a pleasant, natural ambient temperature – comparable to the heat radiation of the sun.

This form of heating is particularly important for thermoregulation of your animals. It aids digestion, promotes activity and strengthens the immune system. In contrast to light sources, the Hobby ceramic spotlight no brightness – this means: perfect night-time heating without disturbing the natural day-night rhythm.

Another advantage is the robust construction. The spotlight is made of solid ceramic, is splash-proof and very durable – with a service life of up to 10,000 operating hours. This makes the spotlight suitable for more humid environments such as tropical terrariums or tanks with aquatic turtles.

For safe use, we recommend the combination with a ceramic E27 socketa heat protection cage and – if required – a timer or thermal control. This allows the heat supply to be regulated in a targeted manner and ensures a constant climate.
