Sometimes things just don’t go as planned.

An animal multiplies faster than expected, suddenly ten stick insects have become two hundred – and you realize that you can hardly do justice to the small troop. This is exactly why our Insektenliebe rescue center exists.

We want to show you: It’s perfectly okay to seek help.

Nobody needs to be ashamed when they realize that there are too many animals. On the contrary – if you want to give your animals away responsibly, you are acting correctly and with heart.

Our sanctuary is not a disposal site, but a temporary home.

Here, invertebrates that you can no longer keep are given a safe place: well cared for, professionally housed and, if necessary, passed on to experienced keepers or educational institutions

How it works: fast, easy & anonymous return shipping

You can send your animals to our rescue center without contacting us beforehand.

Many owners want a simple, anonymous solution – that’s why we have designed the process so that you don’t have to write an e-mail or provide any personal data when you send the animals.

You have two options to ensure that everything runs safely and stress-free:

Option 1: Order a collection package

You will receive a complete shipping set by post with a cardboard box, polystyrene box, packaging tins, heat pack and a pre-labeled return label.

You don’t have to prepare anything else – just pack the animals securely, stick on the label and send them off.

The package is available from us at cost price in the store under the name “Catch package – safe return for invertebrates”.

Option 2: Use your own package

If you already have suitable materials at home, you can of course also use your own cardboard.

Please make sure that:

• the animals sit in stable boxes with air holes
• some food and a damp paper towel is enclosed
• the package is insulated in winter (e.g. with polystyrene) and, if necessary, fitted with a heat pack
• and that the parcel is going to the following address:

No matter which option you choose, the important thing is that your animals are treated safely and with respect.

Even the smallest ones deserve respect – and because we know how easily many species multiply, we want to create a contact point before a good idea becomes a problem.
