Neoregelia hera var“Little Bright” – Bromeliad for your rainforest terrarium

The Neoregelia hera var. “Little Bright is a compact bromeliad that is a real eye-catcher in any terrarium with its strong, bright foliage. This species originates from the tropical rainforests of South America and is perfectly adapted to the conditions in the terrarium. Its characteristic rosette shape collects water in the center, making it not only decorative but also a natural drinking source for small terrarium animals.

The leaves of the Little Bright show a fresh green-yellow basic coloration with lively accents that stand out even more intensely under suitable lighting conditions. It gives your terrarium a colorful depth that can be harmoniously combined with other plants and decorative elements.

In its native habitat, Neoregelia grows epiphytically on trees or terrestrially in the soil, which is why it can also be used in terrariums in a variety of ways – whether tied up on roots and pieces of bark or classically in a pot. Its adaptability makes it a robust and easy-care plant for beginners and experienced keepers alike.

In order for the plant to develop optimally, it requires high humidity between 60 and 80 and should be sprayed regularly with low-lime water. In terms of lighting, it prefers a medium to high light intensity of around 1,500 to 3,000 lumens. Under these conditions, the Little Bright shows its full color intensity and grows compact and healthy.

With a height of 15 to 25 cm this bromeliad remains pleasantly small and is particularly suitable for smaller rainforest terrariums. Thanks to its shape, it not only offers visual variety, but also retreat and climbing opportunities for terrarium animals such as geckos, frogs or insects.

The Neoregelia hera var. “Little Bright is therefore the ideal choice for anyone who wants to enrich their terrarium with an easy-care, yet exotic-looking plant.
