Termite wood

Termite wood or ant wood is a piece of wood that has been eaten away by termites. The pieces of wood are suitable as a decorative element in desert terrariums, but also in rainforest terrariums.

Termites feed mainly on organic material such as wood, humus or grass. As cellulose eaters, they are feared pests in wooden buildings, for example. A particularly large number of species live in the tropical forests and savannahs of Africa, South America and the Far East. Our termite wood is placed near a termite colony until they have a bizarre appearance. There are neither termites nor their eggs on the pieces of wood on offer.
