Isopods prefer calcareous environments to meet their calcium requirements. A limestone fits perfectly into the Isopod terrarium. The animals like to nibble on the relatively soft rock and the limestone also offers many hiding places for the animals. Young Isopods in particular can hide in the smallest cracks and are therefore safe from danger. We particularly like to use limestone for Cubaris species, as this is also a popular choice in their natural habitat. Our limestones have a straight surface at the bottom and can therefore be placed safely on the terrarium floor (not on the substrate) without the stone slipping or being undermined afterwards. It is best to leave the stone in place and only move it when changing the substrate.
We would like to point out that this is a natural product and that no two pieces are the same.
