Brief description:

Sigmatostalix radicans originates from Brazil. It grows there epiphytically (epiphytic plant) and lithophytically (on or in rock) along the coast of Brazil at altitudes of around 400 meters. This makes the approx. 12 cm tall mini orchid perfect as an epiphytic plant.

The night setback should be 5-6 °C for the mini orchid to start flowering. The sweet honey scent of the flowers fills the entire terrarium. Sigmatostalix radicans can cope with 6500-7000 Kelvin. The plant thrives well at 20-30 °C and is therefore also suitable for warmer terrariums. It should be sprayed with rainwater at least twice a day. Sigmatostalix radicans grows bushy and can be propagated by dividing the stock.
