Shell grit

Shell grit is an ideal and natural source of calcium. Shell grit supports a clean moulting process or snail shell construction. Our grit is obtained from sea mussels and is free from additives. After extraction, the shells are washed, dried, heated, crushed and sieved. The shell grit is simply mixed into the substrate to create a calcified soil. The shell grit binds very slowly and is therefore a long-lasting source of calcium. The content is sufficient for 18 liters of soil substrate.
