Brief description:

Limicolaria flammea is one of the very small agate snails. At first glance, its shell looks as if it has been cast from porcelain. The purple flames stand out against the ivory base coloration and give Limicolaria flammea a beautiful look. As with all snails, a group should consist of at least 3 animals. The terrarium should not be smaller than 80 × 40 × 40 cm. Although they are tree- and shrub-dwelling snails, Limicolaria flammea occasionally burrow. For this reason, the limed forest humus should have a height of 10 cm. The substrate does not have to be muddy, a humidity of 70-80 % is completely sufficient. A bathing bowl should not be missing as a piece of furniture.

Limicolaria flammea is easy to care for and is also suitable for the occasional novice. Sepia should be offered permanently so that the shell grows without defects and the snail does not develop deficiency symptoms. You are welcome to experiment with the food, vegetables and fruit are readily accepted. You can get this from your trusted organic food store.
