The Dupla osmosis system not only creates an optimal starting water for marine and freshwater aquariums. It also solves problems with irrigation systems in terrariums. Limescale often clogs the irrigation nozzles and requires increased maintenance of the nozzles. Rainforest plants are also very sensitive to lime. In addition, the unsightly limescale stains on the glass panes destroy the rainforest feeling.
Many water problems can often only be solved by using Dupla osmosis systems. Reverse osmosis systems work according to the principle of physical filtration. In a reverse osmosis system, pollutants (e.g. silicate, nitrate) and hardness formers such as lime are physically removed from the water. In the reverse osmosis system, the water flows through a semi-permeable membrane under the pressure of 2 – max. 6 bar found in standard household water pipes. The substances dissolved in the water (pollutants, salts or limescale) cannot pass through the small grid structure of the membrane and remain in the residual water. This residual water is discharged as a concentrate and can be used without hesitation as cleaning or service water. The Dupla osmosis system has a maximum retention rate of 95 – 98 % of all pollutants in tap water.

Technical data:

Capacity approx. 600 l / day, depending on the quality and pressure of the source water
Average capacity: 500 – 650 l / day at 8 – 15° C and 3 – 6 bar pressure
The average retention rate of the membrane is 90 – 98 %
Aluminum 97 – 98 %
Cadmium 95 – 98 %
Bacteria 99 %
Nitrates max. 90 %Silicates max. 90 %Sulphates 97 – 98 %Hardness constituents 95 – 98 %The additional ultrapure water filtration reduces the remaining pollutants in the permeate by a further 99 %. The initial value measured using the PWT (Pure Water Tester) should be 000 ppm when using a new
ultrapure water resin.
