Boxwood originally comes from the Mediterranean region with its warm, Mediterranean climate. Not in all terrarium conditions can live plants grow or thrive. Some areas are too hot or too dry for live plants, while others may have different light requirements or may simply be eaten by the animals. The Exo Terra Boxwood offers the same benefits as a live plant: it is decorative, creates hiding places and enlarges the living area. A combination of live plants and artificial plants allows you to fully plant a terrarium, even in the hottest or driest areas. Also ideal for use in more sterile facilities (e.g. quarantine terrariums).
