Ornithoctoninae spec. “Vietnam Silver” is a new and very special and unique tarantula in the hobby. The shimmering, silver-colored ground coloration makes the animal an absolute gem. Unfortunately, our photos do not show the color so spectacularly. The yellow hairs on the abdomen (abdomen) and legs add an additional color component. The males have an unspectacular beige basic coloration with a striped pattern on the abdomen. The juveniles on offer have a brown base coloration with red legs.

Ornithoctoninae spec. “Vietnam Silver” lives in the wild under pieces of bark or in burrows. In doing so, it weaves in its living space and additionally stabilizes it. The substrate moisture should not be too wet. It is best to offer it two different moisture zones and place a piece of bark across them. This allows it to choose the most suitable place. Spraying two to three times a week is sufficient to achieve a humidity level of around 80 %. A 30 × 30 × 30 cm cube is a suitable terrarium size for an adult animal.
