Sphagnum moss

Sphagnum moss is perfect for increasing the humidity in the terrarium and keeping it stable in the long term without waterlogging. Sphagnum moss is particularly useful for terrarium inhabitants with an increased need for moisture. It is ideal as a moist corner in the isopod terrarium or for mixing into our forest humus. Sphagnum moss acts like a sponge. The absorbed water is released slowly. This creates an optimal climate for terrarium animals such as Isopods, millipedes, amphibians, spiders and scorpions. The moss is loose in the tin and can be used immediately. When keeping tropical animals, we recommend mixing a third of Sphagnum moss into the forest humus. This allows you to achieve a constant high level of humidity more quickly without waterlogging.
