Blowflies

Blowflies are the ideal food for jumping spiders from FH7, mantids and tarantula spiderlings. They are not only a natural food source, but also perfect for storing and dosing.
The maggots can be stored in the fridge for several weeks. The maggots develop very slowly due to the low temperature. To feed them, simply place the desired number of maggots in the terrarium using tweezers. This allows the jumping spider, for example, to eat the maggot directly if required or, if it is not hungry, a fly will develop after a few days and the jumping spider will then have another opportunity to feed. To enhance and prolong the life of the hatched flies, they can be fed with honey or sugar.

Blowflies and blowfly maggots are harmless to the pets. Even during the critical moulting phase, the flies or maggots do not disturb the animals.
